About Louise
Louise holds a Bachelor of Music majoring in Music Technology from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. She pursued Music Technology and Audio Engineering to learn how to record her own compositions. The recording and music production elements of her studies became her passion, leading to her work as a professional Audio Engineer, Music Producer and due to cause and effect, eventually a Video Producer.
Louise started as an in-house audio engineer at West End Music Studios in Brisbane straight after graduating, then during her 14.5 years working at Sony Music Studios, Sydney, was nominated for an ARIA for best recording engineer.
Louise was a member of an all-girl covers band based in Sydney, Urban Angels, that played hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and anything in the top 40. They also played original music under the name Heroine (female hero), and released an EP of 6 songs. Four tracks from the EP were sought out by Musical Theatre writer and director, Robert Vicencio, and became key songs in the Musical Theatre production of "Rock, Scissors, Paper", which premiered in Shanghai, China. The band toured China and played at a New Year's Festival in Kunming.
Currently, Louise is on the board of two Logan-based not-for-profit organisations - Logan City Orchestras and Underdog Film Fest. Underdog Film Fest is in its second year running after a successful inaugural festival in 2024 at Kingston Butter Factory. Logan City Orchestras staged their founding concert featuring their premiere ensemble, Logan City Symphony Orchestra, at Logan Entertainment Centre on July 25, 2025. It was sold out and was received with great appreciation and enthusiasm.
On a part time basis, she coaches and mentors the Canterbury College Rock School program, and is a vocal coach at WSP for a select number of students.
Louise works as an audio engineer, music producer, self-taught camera operator and qualified video editor at her studio, Wheatley Street Productions in Logan City, Queensland. She operates, maintains and creates in this beautiful space that everyone who enters feels a sense of calm, belonging and inspiration. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and balances her life through faith and yoga.
Louise is a finalist in the Studio Production Award category for the Australian Women in Music Awards 2025. This is a great honour to receive such a vote of confidence from the industry she loves and is so passionate about.
